Welcome to Dorley (The Sisters of Dorley 1) - Alyson Greaves

I really liked this book. I reccomend it it to trans-femme people - July 2026

I don't want to give away what the book is about. It also has a content warning, which I would rather not have read, as it spoils a big aha-moment of the book. I understand why the content warning is necessary though.

Breaking Things at Work: The Luddites Are Right About Why You Hate Your Job - Gavin Mueller

A modern leftist view at Luddism - July 2026

If you like marxist non-fiction, this book might be for you. It was a bit too heavy for me. I enjoyed the last chapter, which is about the role of modern tech and how it on one hand enforce class separation, but on the other hand can help fight against it. I don't think reading only the last chapter works though. The suffering of the first three is needed, just as proletarian struggle is needed to be a member of the proletariat.

Digital Minimalism: Choosing a focused life - Cal Newport

Highly reccomended to everyone that uses a smartphone regularly - June 2026

Remove unnecessry tech distractions from your life and be more happy. In two chapters the author gives a guide for how to free yourself from addictive tech and regain you life. Some parts are a bit preachy, but overall a very nice book and I enjoy all the free time I have now.

Wir kommen - Kollektivroman

I recommend this book to everyone - June 2026

This book is written by 18 women. They had access to a shard document with the rule "you are only allowed to delete your own text". The individual women talk about experiences they had and interact through text with each other. It's a facinating book with a focus on a female perspective on sex, but it is so much more than that.

Woodworking - Emily St. James

I recommend it to people interested in what it feels like to be trans - April 2026

Erica (a teacher in a repulican state in the US) discovers she is trans. The only other trans person she knows is her student Abigail. Follow along in their journey of the early time in transitioning.

Genderqueer a memoire - Maia Kobabe

A very nice graphic novel about life of a genderqueer person until the start of the working life. Very quick read, highly reccomended. - April 2025

The Dallergut Dream Department Store - Miye Lee

An easy ready for a feel good time - beginning of 2026

A cute two part novel about dreams emotions and the development in early life.

Wie wir lieben: Vom Ende der Monogamie - Friedemann Karig

an informative read for beings interested in polyamory - summer of 2021

The author interviews people living in polyamorous relationships. Between the interviews background about polyamory is given in pop-scientific chapters.

Die Känguru Pentologie - Marc Uwe Kling

Gesellshaftskritik witzig verpackt unbedingt die Audiobücher höhren, in geschriebener Form geht viel Witz verloren.
